The Power of Partnership: The Annapurna Project in Action

In an effort to make a positive change in the lives of RMG (ready-made garment) workers, ACE and Mati Industries, Romo Fashion Today Ltd., and TeenAge Modern Fashion Ltd. have joined forces in a promising partnership. This collaboration will not only bring a significant change to the lives of RMG workers but also bring hope for a brighter future for all of the partners involved. The magnitude of this partnership is significant, as it has the potential to not only improve the lives of RMG workers but also the communities in which they live.

With generous support from the Auchan Foundation, France, ACE’s Access to Nutrition and Healthy Food for RMG Workers and Dependents (Annapurna) Project is working to improve the health, wellbeing, and nutrition status of garment workers and their family members. As a part of the initiative, MATI Industries Limited will be establishing and operating fair-price model shops in two garment factories. We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate MATI Industries Limited on this incredible achievement and to thank Auchan Foundation, France, for their support of the Annapurna Project. To mark a momentous occasion for both the Association for Community Empowerment (ACE) and MATI Industries Limited, the two organizations have come together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The world of fashion today is more than just trendy clothing. In order to ensure its sustainability, it is important to focus on the health and well-being of the individuals that work in the industry. This is why a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been established between the Association for Community Empowerment (ACE) and Romo Fashion Today Limited at Mouchak, Gazipur district, and also Teen-Age Modern Fashion Limited at Hemayetpur, Savar, to create fair price shops and provide free training on health, food, and nutrition to the factory workers. This is an important step in the right direction to ensure the health and safety of those working in the fashion industry.

The Annapurna project was a success thanks to the hard work and dedication of two local fashion organizations, Romo Fashion Today Limited at Mouchak, Gazipur district, and Teenage Modern Fashion Limited. Both of these organizations have gone above and beyond in their collaboration with the ACE organization throughout the project, and their contribution is invaluable and hard to put into words.
