About Me:
Mahmudur Rahman Chowdhury is the Monitoring and Evaluation Expert at Association for Community Empowerment (ACE).
He had several years of extensive experience in socio-economic development and the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), including HIV/AIDS and Gender Based Violence (GBV). Over the years he had the opportunity to work in 12 National, International, and UN organizations in a variety of senior and mid-level positions, from Research and Strategic Information to Statistician and MEAL and MIS. He has attended various international and national training, workshops, and seminars related to Health and Nutrition, SRHR, HIV/AIDS, VAW/GBV, and WASH/FSM in countries such as Turkey, Kenya, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, and Bangladesh. In addition to this, he has experience in designing and implementing both rigorous research and impact evaluations for SRHR and Health and Nutritional Interventions, as well as developing RBM manuals and operational guidelines for health insurance and SRHR programs.
He is The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (Consultant) at Innovision Consulting Private Limited (Bangladesh Country Office) Dhaka. In addition to this, he has worked on a wide variety of projects. From co-investigator/field operation manager, team leader, and senior policy and evaluation advisor to WASH/FSM sector (including health and nutrition) and M&E expert (nutrition), he has been heavily involved in the development and updating of multi-year MEAL frameworks/log frames/result frameworks, in the design and implementation of a costed MEAL framework and plan for GFTAM-913, and in providing technical assistance for the application of randomized control trial (RCT) or quasi-experimental designs of different projects.
He has completed his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
