About Me:
As-Saba Hossain is Health and Climate Specialist at Association for Community Empowerment (ACE). His dedication serves to ensure applicable health, safety and environmental regulations and he believes that research can lead to greatness.
With his extensive expertise in the field of research on both climate and health in a variety of roles for local and international organizations, Mr. Hossain aims to be successful in his field research activity. he is determined to ensure robust health services to the community while also playing an important role in the development of an adaptation plan for Bangladesh’s inevitable climate impact. He has experience with a number of scientific research fields, including clinical research and public health research. As a public health researcher, he is also committed to ensuring ethical and evidence-based clinical research and thriving it for the nation’s health system. He has also published several research papers.
As-Saba is in a spellbound mission of establishing a sustainable, accessible to all, affordable, and climate resilient health system in the country. He wants to share his experience in clinical trials in vaccine development as well as drafting climate change adaptation plans for communities with limited resource settings.
He has served in different capacities with national and international development organizations including, MOHFW (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare), Icddr,b, Pushpo Clinic, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and he has also worked in many UNICEF projects in Bangladesh.
As-Saba received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, and completed his Masters in Public Health from American International University of Bangladesh with a Major in Epidemiology.
